QuizEngine ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Jigsawme. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the QuizEngine mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a username you choose. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Game Data: We collect gameplay data including match results, scores, streaks, XP, level progression, and category preferences to provide the game experience and leaderboards.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To match you with opponents for real-time trivia matches
To track your scores, XP, levels, and display leaderboards
To improve the App and fix bugs
To communicate important updates about the App

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses encrypted connections and follows industry-standard security practices. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your username, level, and scores are visible to other players on leaderboards and during matches. We may share data if required by law.

5. Your Rights

You can:

Update your username and profile at any time within the App
Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

6. Children's Privacy

QuizEngine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — Authentication, database, and real-time infrastructure
Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — Optional authentication providers
Expo / EAS — App build and update delivery

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by other means.
